Bill Bailey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc. (CMT), a nationally ranked and Midwest-based professional engineering and consulting firm with 25 office locations and founded in Springfield.
Bill has been with CMT for his entire career since graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor and Master of Science in Civil Engineering degrees. He joined the firm in 1989, focusing on structural engineering, involved in projects from all of the firm’s business sectors. Today, as CEO, Bill oversees the strategic direction and overall management of the firm.
Throughout his career, Bill has served his profession through various organizations such as the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) In addition to serving on several ACEC committees, he spent six years on the ACEC Indiana Board of Directors. He continues to provide insight on public policy and political advocacy for sustainable engineering topics.
Bill has also been highly involved with his community and is an elder in his church. He and his wife Cheryl are also the proud parents of four adult children.
