Misty Buscher was elected Mayor on April 4, 2023. She held the office of Springfield City Treasurer from 2015 – 2019. Prior to being elected Treasurer, she was a Vice President of Mortgage Lending at Marine Bank in Springfield. She has spent the past thirty-one years as a financial professional in one capacity or another, whether it was helping clients with their personal finances or managing the cash and investments for the City of Springfield. Misty will now spend her time beautifying Springfield, creating economic development, and working to provide the citizens with a vibrant city. Misty has also spent numerous hours volunteering in the Springfield Community. She has worked with groups like the Springfield Area Home Builders Association, SPARC, Compass for Kids, and Kings Daughters Organization just to name a few. She and her husband Mike, a small business owner, live on the North-end of Springfield and have two children, son Anthony who is married to Krystal, and their daughter Courtney. They are the proud grandparents of Beckham and Elessandra Buscher.
